May 22nd, 2009
A dozen members of the car club enjoyed an evening of target shooting at the Sunshine Coast Rod & Gun Club in Wilson Creek, BC, on May 18th, 2009.
The evening was a blast! [pun intended]
Steve Desrochers brought his old flintlock to the event and allowed several of the members to load and fire the big bore gun.
Lots of Bang, Flash and Smoke!
Members of the Rod & Gun Club, assisted in the safety procedures during the evening. The six firing stations in the club´s indoor gun gallery was well organized and controlled.
The targets used by the car club was old calendar photos of vintage cars, hot rods and trucks. The targets are placed 20-25 meters away from the firing station. The .22 calibre rifles were provided by the rod & gun club.
It was noted by the men....the women in the group were better shooters.
The winner of the "Lucky Target Cash Prize" was Frank Richards.
A special thank you to Steve & Norma Desrochers who, not only provided the club members with ammunition for the evening event, but also hosted an after-party of cocktails, smoked salmon and wild game pepperoni.
The evening was so much fun, another night of Fun & Guns will be planned later this year.
